Dalareich Polot

Program Director for Women’s Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship

Dalareich Polot is a multi-awarded young entrepreneur/ and Founder/ CEO of a social enterprise called Ginto Fine Chocolates Corporation who makes artisans, bean to bar chocolates and the manager of Dalareich Food Products in Bohol, Philippines. She is dubbed by the media in the Philippines as “Bohol’s Chocolate Princess”. She is also dedicated to her work advocacies on sustainable community development, social entrepreneurship, cacao farming and women empowerment. She is mostly invited to speak in local and international events. In 2013, she was the Grand winner of the first Young Entrepreneurs Bootcamp by the U.S Embassy Manila and SPARK Philippines.

 

In 2014, She got a scholarship grant to study food engineering specifically chocolates in Ghent University, Belgium. Late 2015, she launched a social enterprise called Ginto Fine Chocolates, making artisanal bean to bar fine chocolates using cacao beans from her island and supporting local cacao farmers but ever since she is already helping her parents on their family business making “cacao liquor” for chocolate drinks called “Tableya”in the Philippines. In Sept 2016, she was invited for a study tour to the US under International Visitor Leadership P r o g r a m ( I V L P ) t o p r o m o t e w o m e n entrepreneurship for the Philippines.

 

October 2016, Dalareich was one of the 10 social enterprise awardees in the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) Accelerator Program for Social Entrepreneurs. In 2017, she was also chosen to be one of the national finalists for INJAP SIA Young Entrepreneurs Award in the Philippines. In 2018, she was awarded in Takeda Foundation Young Entrepreneurs Award 2018 at the University of Tokyo among 58 countries. Last June 22 2019, they received a Gold Award for their drinking chocolate product in London based Academy of Chocolate Awards 2019. Oct 3, 2019, she was awarded as the APEC Best Award 2019 at APEC 2019 in Chile.

 

She also graduated and received a Diploma at Swedish Institute Management in Sweden for sustainable business and sustainable leadership program. Nov 2019, she was interviewed by Tito Boy Abunda with his The Bottomline show in ABS CBN and Boy Abunda labeled her “The Chocolate Princess of the World”. She was also invited by the Russian government to be one of the speakers in their women business forum in Kaliningrad Russia. She was also featured in different magazines and tv show in the Philippines. Recently, she got an award from Mansmith Young Market Master Awards under Advocacy Marketing.
