The Gender-Responsive Results-based Management Training and Workshop is designed to initiate discussion and provide a context for the Fund’s personnel to develop future planning that is gender-responsive.  It follows through from the Core Competencies Seminar done last December which aimed to introduce basic gender analysis and GAD planning to staff and to increase awareness.  The program introduced the Results Based Management approach on gender and development that works toward: defining realistic expected results, based on appropriate analysis as well as clearly identifying GAD beneficiaries and designing gender-responsive programs to meet
their needs.  It places a strong emphasis on the need to monitor progress towards results with the use of appropriate indicators, identifying and managing risks, and reporting on results achieved and the resources involved.

The training also included workshps on the use of the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework and the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines. These tools will be used to equip participants with the knowledge to be able to mainstream gender and create gender-responsive programs, projects and activities for the Fund.
