Ham is a gay feminist and a human rights activist. He holds a degree in Development Communication major in Educational Communication at Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan. He is a recipient of Junior Chamber International’s Youth Excellence Award “Batang Lider Award” and the Magis Award for NSTP Most Outstanding Student Leader of his batch. He is an alumnus of the Ayala Leadership Communities Program, Asian Institute of Management TeaM Energy’s Future Bridging Leaders program, and the U.S. Department of State’s Young Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative (YSEALI) where he became an Academic Fellow at Kennesaw State University in Georgia, USA.
He became a certified member of the Philippine Commission on Women’s GAD Resource Pool, a support group composed of technical assistance providers on GAD and gender mainstreaming. He recently founded Mindanao Pride, an organization composed LGBTQ+ people, allies, and human rights activists who are staunch supporters of equality and freedom in the southern Philippines.
