University Business Clinics: Bringing Entrepreneurship to the Young
Manila, October 24, 2013 –The University Business Clinics 2013 (UBC) is excited to announce that winners from the Young Women Entrepreneurship Bootcamp 2013 (a project of Samahan ng mga Pilipina para sa Reporma at Kaunlaran (SPARK! Philippines) and the U.S. Embassy Manila) will be giving a series of talks on entrepreneurship starting November 8, 2013.
Experts from the Department of Trade and Industry, the Development Bank of the Philippines, the Center for Strategic Reforms, Abrea Consulting Group, and others, will share the basics on starting businesses.
SPARK! Philippines Executive Director Jenny Lind Elmaco said that the UBC aims to encourage more young people to drive growth and innovation in the Philippine economy: “Entrepreneurship is one of the best ways to address youth unemployment and serves as a critical path to sustainable development!”
Students and student-entrepreneurs who want to be part of the business clinics, may contact their respective Student Affairs Office for registration.
UBC is organized by SPARK! Philippines with funding from the U.S. Embassy Manila, November 8 for DMC College Foundation in Dipolog City (Mindanao), November 11 for Silliman University (Visayas), November 18 for Baliuag University (Luzon), and the Foundation University (Visayas).
